We were given this desk from a woman who was moving to NYC - it belonged to her grandmother, Elizabeth, and the woman wasnt able to take it with her. I was happy to take it off her hands as I've been daydreaming about having a desk of my own for some time... its too bad that all of the original hardware isnt intact because it is really cool. I scraped, sanded, primed and repainted it (color: Arizona Heat). I got new hardware, although i would have preferred vintage, the existing hole sizes had very limited options and I didnt want to drill new holes - I like what I got. I think it looks great.
